Membership
The Heart of the Valley YMCA is committed to helping people grow in spirit, mind, and body. It isn't just something we say; it's something we believe in and do every single day. As a membership organization your membership dollars go farther in helping you meet your personal goals, as well as assisting the YMCA in meeting its charitable mission throughout the community.
The Heart of the Valley YMCA is part of the largest not-for-profit community service organization in America, working to meet the health and social service needs of 20.1 million men, women, and children in 10,000 communities across the country. The YMCA is for people of all faiths, races, abilities, ages, and incomes. No one is turned away due to their inability to pay a fee, thanks to scholarship dollars raised through our "Building Strong Communities... One Kid at a Time" annual giving campaign.
The new YMCA in Madison is projected to serve more than 10,000 members and expects to touch more than 15,000 lives annually. Families, kids, and adults will become stronger in spirit, mind, and body through their participation in the YMCA. By joining the Heart of the Valley YMCA, you will be joining a movement. WeÕd like to invite you to join one of the largest non-profit organizations in the country through the new, state-of-the-art Craig and Steven Hogan Family Center YMCA.
And your membership truly is one of privilege, providing access to all Heart of the Valley YMCA branches. YouÕll enjoy full use of the facility and may participate in the non-fee based member programs such as aerobics, spinning, Fitlinxx, water exercise, child watch, and more.
Plus, you'll receive special "member rates" on fee-based programs, such as youth sports, karate, and after school care.

Corporate Memberships
Employers in our community are quickly realizing the fact that getting their employees involved in wellness programs reduces sick time and lost work days and, in many cases (especially for companies that are self-insured) are realizing drastic reductions in health care costs. According to the New York Times (September 27, 2006) "health care costs rose an average of 7.7% and double digit increases continue the trend." And according to the 2006 Kaiser Family Foundation Employer Health Benefits Annual Survey, "More businesses are offering Wellness Programs to their employees to control health care costs - 9% of small firms and 33% of large firms.""
The Heart of the Valley YMCA Membership offers your employees the chance to lead healthier lives at an affordable cost. Studies show up to 70% of all illness reported in America can be prevented if people make healthier lifestyle choices. Lack of attention to personal health and wellness is directly related to reduced employee productivity, declining morale, soaring absenteeism rates, and higher stress levels.
How to Join
By participating in the Heart of the Valley YMCA's Corporate Membership program, the YMCA will waive your employees' joining fees, and provide special monthly rates, which vary upon employee participation.
