About Craig and Steven Hogan
David Craig Hogan was born in August 1962 in Hartselle, Alabama to David and Ann Hogan. He attended Lawrence County High School and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point from which he graduated class of 1984. Craig served on active duty as an Ordnance officer until 1989 when he joined the Army Reserves and decided to pursue his love of business as an entrepreneur.

Returning to Huntsville, Craig worked first with Teledyne Brown Engineering and then Maxwell Labs before founding Taos Industries with his father in 1989. He was the first President of Taos, which supplied military repair parts and foreign military equipment, and through his vision and hard work the company became one of the most successful small businesses in Madison County, winning Small Business of the Year in 2003.

Craig was equally devoted to duty as an Army Reserve Officer, volunteering to serve on the ground in Iraq during Operation Desert Storm, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, and serving as a Battalion Commander. He was an active member of Cross Pointe Church.

He was the loving husband of Ann Lamb Hogan who worked alongside him in his business and the proud father of Tyler VanBuren Hogan. Craig and his brother, Steven, were killed in a tragic plane crash at Huntsville International Airport in January 2005.
Steven Patrick Hogan was born in April 1964 in Hartselle, Alabama and attended Lawrence County High School. He joined his brother Craig at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1982 where he completed two years of studies before deciding to pursue a civilian career in accounting. He subsequently transferred to the University of Alabama where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1986.

Following graduation, Steve was recruited by the accounting firm, Arthur Anderson, working in their Atlanta office where he earned the certification of CPA. He later served as Chief Financial Officer of J.H. Services, a large restaurant franchise in Tifton, Georgia. Steve joined Taos Industries as CFO in 1996 and was instrumental in the growth and success of the company.

He was an accomplished tri-athlete and an active member of First Baptist Church in Huntsville. Steve was the loving husband of Stephanie G. Hogan and father of Mary Virginia, Julie Ann and Sophia Alexandria Hogan.
