New Directors Join the Heart of the Valley YMCA Board

Heart of the Valley YMCA is pleased to announce the addition of five new members to its Board of Directors.

Jay Cobb is Vice President for Human Resources at Hexagon AB/Intergraph Corp. He is a lifelong resident of Madison County and is President/Board Chair of the American Cancer Society, having served on the ACS board since 2012. Cobb also served on the board of the United Way of Madison County.

Hillary Rooney-Fernandes is President of TTCH Corporation and is originally from Huntington, W.Va. Rooney-Fernandes holds a degree in Biological Sciences and, although her family is new to Huntsville, she feels a passion and commitment to making her community better and its children more successful.

Loucious Hires is Director of the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. He is a U.S. Army Veteran and has more than 20 years of experience in equal employment opportunity in the federal government, military, private sector and academia. He is a graduate of Georgetown University and Troy University.

Julia Khodabandeh is the Space Launch Systems Booster Subsystem Manager at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. She volunteers as a Certified Peer and Family Support Specialist with the Friends of Recovery and is a coach for the Couch-to-5k running program for MSFC Running Club. Khodabandeh has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Chris Robinson is an Executive Office at the Army Materiel Command at Redstone Arsenal. He serves on the Board of Trustees at Alabama A&M University as Secretary and serves on the boards of the Citizens Metropolitan Planning Organization, Huntsville Botanical Garden and Leadership Huntsville/Madison County. Robinson is a member of the Sigma Pi Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi.
