The YMCA Youth Leadership Council is a FREE program that aims to engage socially responsible youth in community service projects to bring about social change. Leadership council meetings run through the school year, starting in September and ending in May. We simply require members to attend the meetings regularly and to engage in a healthy-living lifestyle to encourage their peers to live the same way. High school students in Jackson, Madison, Marshall, Morgan, and Limestone counties are eligible to join the YMCA Youth Leadership Council.
To engage socially responsible youth that will execute service learning projects to their local community to bring about social change.
To be examples of Healthy Living by sharing and living a lifestyle that promotes longevity!
To implement the youth development road map into action by developing “Five-Year Successful Life Plan.”
Who is Eligible?
High school students in Madison, Morgan, Limestone, Jackson and Marshall counties.

The Y believes in YOU! We believe that you will have a profound effect upon others in the community in which you live.
What is Required of Me?
To serve one full term in YMCA Youth Leadership Council, September through May during the school year.
