Many things make YMCA Camp Cha-La-Kee a memorable experience, but nothing makes camp greater than our talented, caring counselors and our exceptional program leaders.
Interested in becoming a Camp Counselor?
We require all YMCA Camp Cha-La-Kee counselors to be 18 years or older, pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug test, be certified in CPR and First-Aid, and have a genuine interest in spending their summer caring for children. All camp staff will participate in a one-week training program prior to the opening of summer camp. We also hire activity specialists for select areas requiring advanced knowledge and professional certifications.
